Daylight entry

Daylight essential for comfortable living

With the growing emphasis on energy efficient building, optimising the daylight entry is becoming  an increasing aspect in the development of buildings. The entry of light in the proper places translates to less artificial lighting needed and therefore a lower energy consumption. Otherwise minimising the number of façade openings limits the thermal loss of the façade. This contributes to achieving new EPC, BENG, BREEAM and WELL requirements. But above all daylight entry is an essential element in realising a comfortable and healthy building.

Calculated light fall

By using daylight calculations and 3D daylight simulations early on in the design fase, we actively incorporate these issues in current design assignments. Cauberg Huygen can support you with measurements for the amount of daylight and artificial lighting in a space, the assessment and consulting for daylight entry according to the building regulations, daylight factor calculations and researching equivalent solutions for custom situations.
