In the immediate vicinity of a construction project there may be sources that pose risks to users and residents. These include the transport of hazardous substances, with the risk of a pool fire after a large accident, and establishments where hazardous substances are present.
Extra safety measures
Risks related to external safety can have major consequences for the design of buildings. For example, materials resistant to explosions may have to be used, additional preconditions for a safe evacuation have to be taking into account, or additional requirements for the ventilation system are needed.
